I received this item through the MyPerfumeShop Vine programme. There

I received this item through the MyPerfumeShop Vine programme. There seems to be some confusion regarding the pricing of this item: the 75ml (which I am reviewing on 04/03/20) is listed as retailing at 50.13 but the 125ml size is listed as being 41.05. So...you know which one to buy! This is a rather nice EDT spray in an attractive unmarked heavy glass bottle. Fragrances are a very personal thing, but if you like the spicy-with-a-hint-of-orange type, then this one is for you. In my opinion it is a "masculine" scent, warm, and seems to last reasonably long on the skin. It's priced around the same as other mid-range fragrances, though less than the top-end varieties and as such is of average value for money (though do take note of the pricing anomaly noted above...while it lasts!). I would certainly buy this EDT: 5 stars.

On first receiving this the first thing you notice is the packaging it comes in - very neat and stylish which builds expectation for the contents within. The eau de toilette bottle when removed is very elegant too with a shiny, smooth finish, almost pearlescent 2-tone silver and black colours. The most important part though is the scent - really nice soft, smooth notes which are not overpowering on first application. The scent does seem to fade fairly quickly would be my only critique for this JVxNJ edition scent

The scent is difficult to describe. It is not distinctive in any single way (as in being able to,say that it is citrus or musky or floral), but overall it is pleasant. It is long-lasting and a little goes a long way. The scent is very different when sniffed from the air versus after it has been applied to skin. The final scent may be dependent on variables such as the soap you use or the individual biochemistry of you skin. When my husband applied this, it changed from being a subtley-scented slighted spiced-wood type aroma, to a stronger, sharper more acrid scent with hints of petroleum. That sounds unpleasant, but actually it is nice. It is more expensive than his usual cologne, and he doesn't like it well enough to buy it again, but that being said, he likes it and will finish the bottle. So, I think overall it's pleasant but not amazing (in our opinion). If you have not used it before, I think it would be worth trying in a physical shop before buying online, to see how the scent changes on your own skin.
